BE IT RESOLVED that as recommended by the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education does hereby adopt the following Community Engagement & Communications Committee charges for the 2021-22 school year:
 

Mission: The GCSD Community Engagement and Communications Committee shall engage the GCSD community by serving as a liaison between the Board of Education and all members of the community by delivering clear, concise, and timely information through a variety of two-way communication platforms.

Charges: 

• Make recommendations for a District-wide communications policy, with procedures 

• Make recommendations for ways to increase/create partnerships and communications with PTAs, local business organizations, civic associations and municipalities 

• Make recommendations for a plan to implement a community-wide survey by ThoughtExchange to gather information regarding our District to include, but not limited to: 

  • Our students educational experience, including its effectiveness 

  • The effectiveness of our current communication efforts o Student, faculty, and staff needs of the District 

• Make recommendations to continue to build community trust and strengthen perception of our School District
